Soprano Jennifer Sgroe began her musical career in dance and musical theater before transitioning to opera and classical repertoire and completing her formal studies in music and vocal performance. She is a performer, pedagogue, administrative leader and producer, having put her talents to use in various sides of the performing arts.

Nov 2016: US Premiere of the solo mini-opera Trigger by Jessica Rudman with Hartford Opera Theater's New in November Festival.
Inspired by disturbing incident of domestic violence in Nova Scotia in 2014, this work explores the issues of domestic assault from many sides.
Jan-Feb 2017: "To the Sea" with Beverly Soll, Piano Works by American composers inspired by the sea featuring songs by Duke, Hundley, Rorem, Wheeler, Chadwick, Foote and others at Boston and New England Venues including The St. Botolph Club and Salem State University.
